Protagonista de “Batgirl” quebra silêncio e comenta cancelamento do filme

O cancelamento do filme “Batgirl” pegou todos de surpresa, incluindo os próprios diretores, que se disseram “chocados” com a decisão. Sem ter comentado nada durante o dia, a protagonista do longa que viveria a heroína, Leslie Grace, quebrou o silêncio na noite desta quarta-feira (3).
“Querida família! Logo após as recentes notícias sobre nosso filme ‘Batgirl’, estou orgulhosa do amor, trabalho duro e intenção que todo nosso elenco incrível e equipe incansável colocaram neste filme ao longo de 7 meses na Escóci”, disse Grace, que seria a primeira atriz latina a dar vida à heroína.

“Sinto-me abençoada por ter trabalhado entre grandes nomes e forjado relacionamentos por toda uma vida no processo! Para todos os fãs da Batgirl – OBRIGADO pelo amor e crença, permitindo que eu pegasse a capa e me tornasse, como Babs disse melhor, ‘meu próprio maldito herói!’”, completou.

Nesta última terça-feira (2) foi anunciado que o filme “Batgirl” não seria lançado, mesmo com um prejuízo milionário, e apesar de as informações iniciais apontarem para a qualidade do filme ter sido o motivo do cancelamento, fontes da Warner Bros. defendem que não é o caso.
A princípio, a notícia do cancelamento surgiu junto com rumores de que a qualidade do filme teria motivado o cancelamento de “Batgirl”, após testes de audiência serem insatisfatórios. Um artigo do New York Post afirmou que pessoas que assistiram ao filme terem afirmado que ele seria “irremediável”.
